In the corporate setting, you work on a project until someone tells you it’s ‘good enough.’ But what happens when you start your own business? With no one to tell you when to stop, you run the risk of setting unrealistic expectations and developing a very big fear of failure. So, how do you set limits to guide your ambition? How can you redefine success as a high-achieving introvert?

Katie Rasoul is the founder of Team Awesome, a coaching and consulting firm dedicated to helping leaders grow into the best version of themselves and manage high-performing, engaged teams. She is also a TEDx speaker alumna, co-host of The Life and Leadership Podcast, and bestselling author of Hidden Brilliance: A High-Achieving Introvert’s Guide to Self-Discovery, Leadership and Playing Big. Katie is passionate about helping ambitious introverts level up, and she has 10-plus years of experience in leadership, organizational development and HR best practices.

Today, Katie shares the existential crisis she faced in starting her own company, explaining how she eventually established boundaries to guide her ambition and created a new definition of success. She discusses the gift of being highly sensitive and empathic introvert and describes the challenge of building a business around her ‘insatiable need for authenticity.’ Katie offers insight about her business, Team Awesome Coaching, addressing how she generates revenue and why she has made it her mission to help leaders bring their whole selves to work. Listen in for Katie’s slash-and-burn approach to eliminating trivial tasks and learn how she applies the concept of ‘playing big’ to set her own ambitious goals!
